2020 Arkansas Flower & Garden Show; February 28-March 1!
A new year has rolled around and we’re are looking forward to the Arkansas Flower and Garden Show at the end of February. It’s always fun to see returning customers and finding new ones. I love it when we hear what families are doing to keep their kids engaged in plants & gardening. We hope to see you this year, too. For more information, go to: https://argardenshow.org/
Please join Rand in the Arts & Crafts building ‘How to’ stage on Saturday, 2/29 @ 11:30. The topic is ‘Gardening for the Future (Native Plants)’. There are a bunch of great speakers lined up! Go to the link below to see the speakers for all 3 days.
Audubon Fall Native Plant Sale 2019
A big ‘Thank you!’ to all who turned out October 11 & 12th! The Friday evening VIP party was great & a lot of folks enjoyed seeing & purchasing the native plants from all the vendors. On Saturday we saw many families with kiddos and dogs. We enjoyed seeing old friends and made new. The free admission on Saturday gave access to the sale to people who may not have had the ability to attend otherwise.
Thanks to Audubon Arkansas for their help in educating the public and providing an opportunity for people to have more access to native plants. We are grateful for the invitation to participate and for their support of Arkansas businesses!
Celebrating National Pollinator Week!
National Pollinator Week is June 17 – 23, 2019. It’s a great time to remind ourselves how important pollinators are to the foods we enjoy on our table every day. As many native plant habitats are shrinking or disappearing altogether, supporting pollinators in our home gardens becomes even more important. There are some great sites for gathering information on pollinators & how to support them. There are a few links below to get you started.

There are other great speakers coming up & we recommend you keep an eye on the River Valley Facebook page for updates!
